Embroider your way up for a career

Flowers and coronets on the cushion covers, table cloth or the curtains in Indian houses have a special element about them. Embroidered beautifully in various shades these artifacts mostly happen to be a product of either mother, grandmother or aunt’s perfect needlework. As a part of the bride’s trousseau, two decades back, embroidered home furnishings were a must by ladies who used to learn various forms of stitching from their mentors at home. But as time flew, most girls rather type on the keyboard for hours at a stretch chatting with friends than willing to learn the intricacies of needle and thread.
